Mieszko I Primary School Number 5 is located in Ostrów Wielkopolski in the south-west of Poland. The school has a very long tradition as it has existed for over a hundred years.
Nowadays, the school with its wide educational offer and well-qualified teachers provides over 600 pupils with friendly atmosphere and care and enables them learning through play. What is more, in our school particular emphasis is placed on children with special needs and their integration into a mainstream school. Besides, we attach importance to health and environmental education. Pupils represent our school in various competitions in different subjects.
Currently, pupils learn in a modern building, in nicely designed classrooms equipped with brand-new interactive whiteboards, laptop computers and TV sets and a gym with a fitness club. They can also use a library, a reading room, two computer classrooms, a canteen, a tuck shop and two day-care rooms.
